😍 Hi there! Welcome to my Date Me doc, which I must admit feels a bit charmingly low-tech in this Tinder age but hopefully in a cute we-bumped-each-into-each-other-at-the-online-coffeeshop kinda way. I'm Connie, a 33-year-old Chinese American techie person happily settled now in SF* after many years of wandering, Odysseus-style, through half the hokiest small towns in the US. I'm short, monogamous, and usually dressed in an alarmingly varied array of colors:

I'd regale you with tales of my wanderings, but they're honestly quite boring and involve a lot of pet lab mice and early internet fanfic for some reason. The gist of it is that some combination of temperament, parental upbringing, and early Shounen Jump issues led to the dorky, egregiously friendly Huffleclaw you see before yourself today. In my bursts of social fancy I love flittering around novel/weird/interesting-sounding events, philosophy salons, and mysterious houseparties in the Bay, but I'm really an introvert at the core who likes to sun by big windows and nerd out on whatever topic has struck her this week (in my previous life I was definitely a cat, just one of those weirdo bodega ones that like people :P).
I recharge my batteries on all the cozy things - longreads, podcasts, indie movies, coffeeshops and kava bars, bookshops with that old-book smell and perky plants, dinner parties, morning runs by the water and game nights with friends - but will absolutely get hype for the periodic rave, music festival, or good-lord-what-have-I-gotten-myself-into party. I'm high on the openness scale and enjoy poking at new things - even (especially) if they sound a bit out of my comfort zone - though my hope this year is to run around a little less, figure out the things I really care about, and go all in on the people and pursuits that matter to me.
